Account Manager

Position Summary: 

Sheers Account Managers act as a resource to specific accounts within Sheer Logistics to enable load growth and provide exceptional levels of customer service. The Account Manager acts as the primary source of communication between the customers and the Sales team directly tied to their assigned account(s), the Account Manager will be directly communicating with the account(s) they are assisting to grow.  

Essential Functions: 

• Serve as a responsible party across collective Book of Business 

• Manage and maintain relationships to nurture existing customers and further gain wallet share 

• Provide exceptional customer service on assigned account(s) to ensure load count growth 

• Provide immediate support to collective Book of Business through managing operational tasks: Load Building, Track &Trace, Appointment Setting and Document Retrieval 

• Daily dispatching and providing a high level of customer service in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment 

• Thorough communication with all dedicated accounts and associated Sales Reps 

• Keep updated and timely records of customer interactions and transactions 

• Problem resolution to the satisfaction of your carriers/customers and Sheer Logistics 

Education and/or Experience: 

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent  

• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience preferred 

• Previous Customer Engagement Experience 

• 3PL experience preferred

Compensation: $55,000 - $70,000 plus commission plan tied to book of business.

Work Location:  This position will work out of Sheer's Chicago office Tuesday-Thursday and remote Monday and Friday.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands: Sedentary inside office work with limited exposure to weather conditions.
