JOB SUMMARY
The Administrative Analyst III is responsible for performing a variety of analytical and administrative tasks to support the Cook County Board of Review (CCBOR) operations, including managing, and processing appellant filings, conducting detailed data analysis, and preparing critical documentation and correspondence. Â This position plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of CCBOR operations by verifying data, processing corrections, and coordinating communications with appellants.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
•    Manage and process appellant filings, ensuring that all data is accurately entered and up to date in the system.
•    Reach out to appellants as needed to gather missing information or clarify filings.
•    Perform detailed analytical review of spreadsheet data ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with CCBOR policies and procedures.
•    Prepare and send official correspondence to appellants regarding the status of their appeals, corrections, or any necessary follow-up actions.
•    Analyze and clear all audits by reviewing filings and making necessary corrections.
•    Process certificates of corrections to rectify errors.
•    Handle and process all necessary corrections for the CCBOR in a timely and accurate manner.
•    Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all filings, correspondence, corrections, and audits.
•    Perform other assignments and duties, as required or assigned by the Chief Clerk.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS
•    Perform other assignments and duties, as required or assigned by the Chief Clerk.
•    Ability to analyze large volumes of data and ensure accuracy in the agency’s processes.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain procedures and guidelines to appellants and staff.
•    High level of accuracy in data processing, review, and correspondence preparation.
•    Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail in reviewing data, preparing reports, and managing corrections.
•    Ability to handle complex cases and determine appropriate actions to resolve issues within the CCBOR’s framework.
•    Effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks while maintaining accurate records and meeting deadlines.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
•   Possession of a valid high school diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate and four (4) years of full-time paid work experience or an associate degree and two (2) years of full-time paid work experience in an administrative, analytical, or data processing role, preferably within government or a tax related environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•   Bachelor’s degree in public administration, finance, accounting, business, or a related field. Â
•    Familiarity with tax filings and audit procedures is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
•    Long periods of time working on a computer requiring vision and typing capability.
•    Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
•    Regular use of telephone.
•    Traveling between office and meetings may be required.

RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS
Must establish/maintain Cook County, Illinois, Residency – Employees are required to live full–time within the geographic boundaries of Cook County, Illinois.
