Job Summary/General Purpose of Job

  • Develop, implement, and manage membership strategic direction and marketing plan for all entity offerings. This includes but is not limited to supervision and coordination of all activities to market entity programs, plans and services, e.g. membership development, programs, products, identifying suitable target audiences and establishing effective marketing efforts; and oversight, development and integration of the entity’s website as a membership and marketing strategy.
     

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage strategic membership development and marketing plans, including all tactics, such as recruiting and retention campaigns and materials by direct and email, costbenefit analysis, customer service and benefits, member group segmentation, and tracking.
  • Integrate all entity membership and marketing efforts for adherence to entity strategic and longrange plan.
  • Market membership, products, events, sponsorships and other services. Responsible for specific membership development and marketing budgets and for producing dues revenue.
  • Serve as member liaison, which may include staffing member committees.
  • Perform research, data analysis and regular reporting to aid in strategic decision making.
  • Mentor and coach entity membership & marketing staff.
  • Other duties as assigned
     

Required Education, Qualifications, Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from fouryear college or university (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 47 years marketing and membership experience with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the membership association context.
  • Proven experience in marketing plan development, administration and evaluation required.
  • Written/Oral Communications Skills Advanced
  • External Resource/ Vendor Management Advanced
  • Financial Management and Budget Advanced
  • Project/Campaign Management Advanced-Office software; Microsoft Office Suite, Relational database software, campaign management tools.

  • Master’s Degree (Preferred)
