Architect 2

Baker Barrios Architects is seeking a talented and motivated Architect 2 to join our team. This position is designed for licensed architects or non-registered graduates with 6 to 8 years of professional experience. The Architect 2 will focus on the technical design of project documentation under the supervision of the Project Manager. As part of the BBA team, individuals in this role will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the firm’s culture, approach, and standards, while continuing to grow professionally and develop leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and development of project documentation, including technical design and details, under the guidance of the Project Manager.
• Work collaboratively with project teams to ensure quality control, adherence to design standards, and efficient execution of project goals.
• Contribute to the management of larger and more complex projects, including coordination with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders.
• Anticipate potential project challenges and proactively address issues to ensure project success.
• Participate in team discussions, presentations, and client meetings, representing BBA’s professional standards and values.
• Learn and apply BBA’s approach and culture while contributing to the overall success of the firm.

Qualifications:

• 6 to 8 years of professional experience in architecture, with a strong background in project documentation and technical design.
• Professional registration is preferred. If not yet registered, candidates should be actively working towards licensure.
• Strong project management skills, with experience managing large and complex projects from design through to completion.
• Ability to forecast and navigate potential project challenges, ensuring positive outcomes.
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal) to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and stakeholders
• Proficiency with Revit and project management software, including Ajera, Microsoft Office, Newforma, and other relevant tools.
