The Assistant Controller is a key leadership role within the Finance organization of a midmarket technology consulting firm. This position supports the Controller in managing accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls across both domestic and international entities. The role will help scale finance processes to support growth using automation, AIāenabled tools,Ā process improvementĀ and system optimization while ensuring accurate multiāentity consolidations and compliance with U.S. GAAP.Ā The ideal candidate is a CPA with strong technical accounting skills, experience inĀ project-basedĀ consulting environments, and the ability to partner with business leaders in a dynamic, global organization.Ā

Key ResponsibilitiesĀ
Financial Reporting, Close & ConsolidationsĀ
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for US and international entitiesĀ
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAPĀ
- Review journal entries, intercompany transactions, eliminations, and balance sheet reconciliationsĀ
- Oversee foreign currency translation, remeasurement, and consolidation adjustmentsĀ
Revenue Recognition & Project AccountingĀ
- Oversee revenue recognition under ASC 606 for timeĀ andĀ materials, fixedĀ fee, and managed services engagementsĀ
- Manage project accounting including billing, unbilled receivablesĀ andĀ deferred revenueĀ Ā
Technical Accounting, Compliance & ControlsĀ
- Serve as a technical accounting resource for complex transactions, contract review, and international accounting mattersĀ
- Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls across multiple legal entitiesĀ
- Support external audits, including coordination for international entitiesĀ
- Partner with tax advisors on international compliance matters, including transfer pricing support and statutory reportingĀ
Leadership & Process ImprovementĀ
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members, including staff supporting international operationsĀ
- Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements for multi-entity accounting and consolidationĀ
- Assist with ERP, PSA, and financial system implementations or optimizationsĀ
- StrengthenĀ intercompany processes, closing calendars, and documentationĀ
Business Partnership & Special ProjectsĀ
- CollaborateĀ cross functionallyĀ with FP&A, Operations, HR, IT, and LegalĀ
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management for global operationsĀ
- Participate in strategic initiatives such as international expansion, acquisitions, or new market entryĀ

QualificationsĀ
RequiredĀ
- Active CPA licenseĀ
- Bachelorās degree in Accounting or FinanceĀ
- 7ā10 years of progressive accounting experienceĀ
- Experience supporting international entities, intercompany accounting, and financial consolidationsĀ
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including revenue recognition (ASC 606) and foreign currency accountingĀ
PreferredĀ
- MBA orĀ Masterās degree in Accounting or FinanceĀ
- Professional servicesĀ or technologyĀ consulting experienceĀ
- Prior experience supervising or managing accounting staffĀ
- Hands-on experience with ERP and PSA systems supporting multi-entity structures (e.g., NetSuite, FinancialForce, or similar)Ā
- Experience driving process automation, system optimizationĀ
- Experience implementingĀ AIāenabled finance initiativesĀ

In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
