We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Barista to join our team. Â The Barista will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, including coffee and tea, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Greet Customers warmly and take orders accurately
- Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and specialty beverages according to company recipes and standards
- Operate coffee equipment (espresso machines, grinders, brewers) safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including counters and equipment
- Handle customer payments through POS system and online ordering platform
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed throughout the shift
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and escalate concerns to the manager when necessary
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and inventory tasks
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
Skills/Experience

- Must pass a Chicago Department of Aviation/Homeland Security background check
- Food handler, allergen and alcohol awareness certificates are required
- Previous barista or customer service experience preferred but not required - we are willing to train the right candidate! Â
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a team-oriented mindset
- Available to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
