Your Opportunity 

As a project controls professional at Stantec, you will apply skills in cost controls, communications, and problem solving in a fast-paced, professional, design and construction environment under the guidance of lead project controls staff.

 

Your Key Responsibilities

Responsible for supporting the consultant team in developing, updating and tracking the Program’s costs and schedule, and producing Program reports, as well as maintaining associated systems and tools, including:

Assist with Program Financial Management

  • Generate monthly budget update and cash flow projections required to model rates and revenue requirements
  • Prepare reports that outline the program/project’s financial position in the areas of funding and costs
  • Prepare multi-year program baseline budget and cash flow projection of financial needs based on current schedules
  • Track Program expenditures and monitor Program cash flow

Assist with Project Financial Management

  • Maintain Contract Activity Reports (SLBE/ELBE, MBE, WBE, etc.)
  • Monitor and report on program expenditures including consultant and contractor costs
  • Provide QA/QC of monthly forecasts proposed by Project Managers in order to prepare monthly Estimate to Complete (ETC) updates
  • Coordination of amendments & change orders with consultants and contractors
  • Support preparation of level of effort cost estimates
  • Support preparation of work order packages 
  • QA/QC of Consultant and Contractor invoices

Program Controls Support

  • Support preparation of internal and external Program Status Reports and dashboards as required on the Program Portal
  • Support the maintenance of business processes, systems, and tools to enable project controls functions to be sustained over the life of the Program

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.

Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).

Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
