Job Overview and Responsibilities
ÂThe NDC Security Operations role is responsible for maintaining a reliable, audit-ready, and operationally effective physical security environment across NDC facilities and related operational sites. The position leads core security operations, access control governance, CCTV documentation, visitor access, vendor coordination, guard force support, security design input, and OPEX planning. The role also provides supportive physical security and risk assessment capabilities by evaluating facility controls, identifying vulnerabilities, documenting risks, and partnering with Risk Assessment, Cybersecurity, site leadership, and internal stakeholders to strengthen security posture and support business continuity.

- Physical Security Operations & Guard Force Management
- Responsible for maintaining the overall operational readiness and effectiveness of NDC physical security programs
- Serves as the primary liaison with Securitas for day-to-day security operations, guard force coordination, staffing support, applicant screening, and candidate interviews
- Ensures appropriate security coverage is maintained to support operational requirements, site protection objectives, and all asset records remain current and accurate
- Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills are essential to maintain inventory integrity, support capacity planning, and provide reliable operational reporting
- Assists with inventory management, purchasing processes, shipping and receiving, warehousing, asset tagging, and logistics reporting to support efficient data center operations
- Access Control & Visitor Management
- Oversees all aspects of access control administration, including the definition, review, and assignment of access levels and permissions
- Manages visitor access programs, badging processes, visitor log tracking, and employee, contractor, and vendor access controls to ensure compliance with site security policies and regulatory requirements of Infrastructure and IT systems
- Assist with root cause analysis to quickly recover from service interruptions, and to prevent recurring problems
- Provide routine building and system checks, campus maintenance and cleanup as needed
- Security Systems Administration & Documentation
- Manages and maintains NDC security systems, ensuring reliability and adherence to established standards
- Oversees CCTV camera naming conventions, camera-view documentation, security records, and related system documentation to support operational transparency, compliance requirements, and effective incident response
- Ensures maintenance and repairs are following prescribed activities and following United’s safety and operational processes
- Reports any concerns or variations found to the appropriate team. Completes and updates documentation related to maintenance or repairs activities and follows up on any deficiencies found
- Security Compliance, Risk Assessment & Design
- Leads and supports physical security compliance initiatives, including PCI audits, access control assessments, evidence collection, remediation tracking, and risk mitigation activities
- Provides security design guidance and risk assessment support for access control systems, CCTV infrastructure, perimeter protection, gates, turnstiles, guard shacks, restricted areas, door hardware, and video control room requirements to ensure security standards are incorporated into facility planning and operations
- Vendor Management, Financial Planning & Security Governance
- Manages relationships and contracts with security service providers and vendors to ensure service delivery, performance, and contractual compliance
- Oversees NDC security-related operational expenditures, including budgeting, forecasting, accrual reviews, and general ledger audits, while maintaining documentation of physical security risks, mitigation strategies, and remediation plans to support effective security governance and long-term operational objectives
Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in a related field
3+ years of working in a data center environment
Â
- Experience directing projects inclusive of manpower, parts, financial budget and time management
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, push, pull, reach and lift as required, on a continuous basis, with items that can weigh up to 75lbs
- Ability to work extended hours within a Data Center Environment and typically within a heat range of 60 degrees Fahrenheit upwards of 110 degrees Fahrenheit while following OSHA driven work rest cycles
- This position requires excellent verbal/written communication skills and excellent time management skills
- Ability to complete all assigned tasks while attaining the highest level of efficiency without disruption to the business
- Excellent judgment and initiative with minimal direction with the ability to understand the implications of work to make sound recommendations for solutions
- Proven ability to follow established procedures for assigned activities and collaborate cross functional with teams as well as vendors and suppliers to achieve goals
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

The base pay range for this role is $112,480.00 to $146,540.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
