Role OverviewĀ

Cboe’sĀ DataVantageĀ businessĀ is seeking a Director of Finance to serve as the embedded financial leader for the business unit.Ā Reporting to the SVP, Head of DataVantage, this role actsĀ as a strategic finance partner to business leadership while maintaining strong alignment withĀ Cboe'sĀ corporate finance function on reporting, controls,Ā and revenue and expense data.Ā The ideal candidate combines deep financial acumen with genuine business partnership instincts — someone comfortable translating P&L performance into decisions the business can act on.Ā Ā 

TheĀ positionĀ is responsible for leadingĀ Business Intelligence, Billing, Budgeting, Forecasting, and other financial reporting functions while coordinating closely with Product, Operations, Corporate Finance, Client Experience, Sales, and other teams across Cboe.Ā Ā

Your responsibilities will be:Ā 

Ā 

  • Serve as the primary finance advisor to DataVantage leadership,Ā leadingĀ financialĀ reviewsĀ and delivering thoroughĀ quantitative and qualitative analyses.Ā Provide data and commentary for monthly reviews, Board reports, Quarterly Earnings calls, external financial reporting, and ad hoc requests.Ā Ā 

  • Translate financial data into actionable insights that inform pricing, resource allocations, and areas where the business is over/underperforming.Ā Perform variance analysis against budget/forecast and communicate drivers of performance to business and corporate stakeholdersĀ 

  • Along withĀ Cboe’sĀ corporate finance teams, ensure accurate and timely recording of revenues and expenses.Ā Ā 

  • Own the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning for DataVantage. Coordinate across various DataVantage businesses andĀ build and maintainĀ financial models.Ā Ā 

  • Along with Cboe finance, implement improvements to financial systems for clear, concise, accurate financial reports.Ā Ā 

  • Track and report on key business metrics (ARR,Ā Sales, Customer Retention)Ā alongside traditional financial KPIsĀ 

  • Partner with Sales to create sales and revenue targets, validate commissions and cross-sell bonuses, and create Sigma Dashboards to illustrate sales performance.Ā 

  • Lead andĀ support automation ofĀ DataVantage’sĀ Receivables Collections processesĀ 

  • Implement automationĀ to improve the efficiency and accuracy of billing, data collection, data analysesĀ across DataVantage.Ā 

  • Support internal and external audit requests related toĀ DataVantage'sĀ financialsĀ 

  • Manage and DevelopĀ associates on Billing and BI teamsĀ 

The ideal candidate hasĀ 

  • 10+Ā years ofĀ progressive experience, including FP&A, corporate finance, or other financial rolesĀ Ā 

  • 2+ years' experience working with executives, preparing executive and Board level communications  

  • Clear communication style with an ability to translate financial data into actionableĀ recommendationsĀ Ā 

  • Strong financial modeling skills (advanced Excel,Ā SQL or BI tool experienceĀ especially Sigma)Ā 

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fieldĀ 

  • CPAĀ preferredĀ 

  • Experience in financial data, market data, fintech, or SaaS/subscription businessesĀ preferred

At Cboe, we are committed to providing a competitive, transparent, and market‑informed total rewards program. The anticipated base salary range for this role is $187,000-$242,000, with actual compensation determined by job‑related factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal alignment, and location.

This role may also be eligible for annual incentive compensation and, where applicable, participation in Cboe's long-term equity programs.
