Electrical Engineer – Chicago, IL

Full-Time Competitive Base Salary

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support industrial operations, reduce contractor reliance, and strengthen in‑house technical capability. This role focuses on low-voltage systems, industrial power, and NEC-compliant design in manufacturing and hazardous environments.

This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy hands-on problem solving, improving electrical reliability, and supporting a collaborative technical team. Candidates with industrial backgrounds or military engineering experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

What You’ll Do

Provide in‑house electrical engineering support for industrial facilities and production environments.
Design, troubleshoot, and maintain low-voltage and power systems, including:

4–20mA instrumentation, 120V control circuits, Lighting circuits, and occasional exposure to 4160V motors

Interpret and create wiring diagrams, conduit schedules, and electrical documentation.
Ensure compliance with National Electric Code (NEC) and hazardous location requirements.
Collaborate with mechanical and operations teams to improve system reliability and reduce downtime.

What You Bring

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
3+ years of electrical engineering experience
Strong working knowledge of NEC, hazardous locations, and industrial safety practices.
Hands-on experience with low-voltage systems, instrumentation, and power distribution.
Ability to read, interpret, and develop electrical drawings and schematics.
