Electrical Engineer – Chicago, IL

Full-Time  Competitive Base Salary 

 

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support industrial operations, reduce contractor reliance, and strengthen in‑house technical capability. This role focuses on low-voltage systems, industrial power, and NEC-compliant design in manufacturing and hazardous environments.

 

This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy hands-on problem solving, improving electrical reliability, and supporting a collaborative technical team. Candidates with industrial backgrounds or military engineering experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Provide in‑house electrical engineering support for industrial facilities and production environments.
  • Design, troubleshoot, and maintain low-voltage and power systems, including:

4–20mA instrumentation, 120V control circuits, Lighting circuits, and occasional exposure to 4160V motors

  • Interpret and create wiring diagrams, conduit schedules, and electrical documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with National Electric Code (NEC) and hazardous location requirements.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and operations teams to improve system reliability and reduce downtime.

 

What You Bring

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) 
  • 3+ years of electrical engineering experience 
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC, hazardous locations, and industrial safety practices.
  • Hands-on experience with low-voltage systems, instrumentation, and power distribution.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and develop electrical drawings and schematics.
