Job Title: Financial Planning Associate

Position Summary: The Financial Planning Associate will assist the Financial Planning department in the creation of complex and comprehensive financial plans for high net worth clients. Responsibilities include data gathering and analysis, development of financial planning recommendations and plan implementation. Additionally, the Financial Planning Associate will be tasked with keeping all client balance sheets and information summaries (family, insurance, etc.) up to date and will oversee the daily Advent upload into Altair’s financial planning software. The Associate should expect to be involved in the entire financial planning process and will be asked to attend internal planning related meetings at the Director’s discretion.

Responsibilities

Gather relevant client information to build comprehensive financial plans (family information, income & expenses, investment accounts/liabilities, real estate, business interests, insurance policies, estate documents, risk assumptions, etc.)
Input planning information into eMoney; become expert at utilizing software
Preparation and review of various analyses including capital sufficiency analysis, retirement projections, tax projection, Roth conversion analysis, review of estate planning documents, education funding analysis, social security analysis, gifting opportunities, insurance analysis to arrive at client-centric financial solutions & recommendations
Develop and analyze alternate scenarios
Collaborating with Director of Financial Planning to create action items
Prepare financial plan updates and annual reviews
Prepare preliminary financial planning recommendations for use in client meetings

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required
1-2 years of Financial Services industry experience
Preferred enrollment in CFP Program, have obtained designation or plans to enroll
Highly proficient technical skills with the ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative information
Team player, collaborative
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Detail oriented, accurate, organized, able to set priorities
Ability to take initiative
Engage in continuous learning to ensure currency of knowledge and skills
Positive attitude and willingness to constantly learn, grow and be coached

Salary will be determined based on a variety of factors, including experience, relevant licenses or certifications, and industry expertise.
