Full-Time Nanny Manager | Bucktown, Chicago (Relocating to Kenwood in October 2026)

Children: 2 school-age children (ages 10 and 8)
Compensation: $30–$35/hour, based on experience

A warm, active family is seeking an experienced, professional Nanny Manager to support their two school-age children while helping keep their busy household organized and running smoothly. This position is ideal for a proactive, energetic professional who enjoys balancing childcare with household management and thrives in a collaborative family environment.

The family is looking for someone who is dependable, highly organized, and an excellent communicator. Someone who can become a true extension of the household while fostering independence and responsibility in the children.

Schedule

· School Year: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–7:00 PM

· School Breaks/Summer: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM

· Flexibility is appreciated for the occasional overnight, approximately 2–3 times per year, with advance notice.

Responsibilities

Childcare

· School pick-up and transportation to and from extracurricular activities using a dedicated family-provided vehicle.

· Homework support and organization

· Prepare healthy lunches for the following school day

· Encourage age-appropriate independence and responsibility, including helping the children keep their bedrooms and belongings organized

· Foster a positive, engaging, and active environment

Household Management

· Children's laundry

· Meal and food preparation for the children and family as needed

· Maintain tidy common areas throughout the day; however, home cleaning is not expected from this role

· Clean and organize the kitchen after meal preparation

· Keep sports equipment, backpacks, and daily essentials organized

· Coordinate schedules, external vendors / contractors, children’s doctors appointments and help manage the family's daily routines

· Organize and maintain pantry, refrigerator, and other household storage areas

· Run household errands, including grocery shopping, returns, dry cleaning and other family-related tasks

· Anticipate the family's needs and take initiative to ensure the household runs smoothly

· Maintain an organized, orderly household and proactively identify tasks that need attention

Travel

The family spends time at their second home in Montana and would love a Nanny Manager who is open to traveling with them for approximately three weeks per year. Travel typically consists of:

· Approximately two weeks during the summer

· Approximately one week during the winter

Qualifications

· Previous professional nanny and household management experience

· High-energy, engaging, and proactive personality

· Outstanding communication and organizational skills

· Comfortable working in a home where one parent works remotely 2-3 days a week in a separate office space

· Safe, confident driver with a clean driving record (family vehicle available)

· Comfortable maintaining structure while creating a warm and supportive environment

· Ability to take initiative and anticipate the family's needs

· Comfortable receiving the annual flu vaccine (required)

Additional Information:

· Family has one large, friendly dog. No pet care is required.

· Parking is readily available.
