THE POSITION

The Interior Architect is responsible for supporting the design, technical documentation, and coordination of interior architecture projects from concept through construction administration. This role includes BIM-based documentation, coordination with consultants and contractors, managing RFIs and submittals during construction, and supporting project delivery across multiple phases. The position also offers the opportunity to expand into Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E) planning and management responsibilities as projects evolve.


What You Can Expect to Do

Interior Architecture & BIM Documentation:

• Develop and maintain BIM models and construction documentation using Revit and other digital tools.

• Produce interior architectural drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and interior details.

• Coordinate architectural interiors with structural, MEP, and specialty consultants.

• Support design development and ensure documentation accurately reflects design intent.

Construction Administration:

• Assist with construction administration tasks, including reviewing submittals and shop drawings.

• Track, review, and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) in coordination with project leadership.

• Participate in site visits, field observations, and coordination meetings with contractors.

• Ensure interior architectural details are executed in accordance with design documents.

Project Coordination:

• Coordinate with internal design teams and external consultants to ensure project alignment.

• Maintain organized project documentation and assist with drawing set updates.

• Support schedule tracking and project milestone deliverables.

Future FF&E Coordination Opportunities:

• Opportunity to expand responsibilities into FF&E planning, specification, and coordination.

• Assist with furniture planning, material selections, and procurement documentation.

• Collaborate with project teams on furniture packages and interior finish coordination.


What You Should Have

• 5–7 years of professional experience in interior architecture, architecture, or interior design

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Architecture, Architecture, or Interior Design

• Proficiency in BIM software, particularly Revit

• Experience producing construction documents and technical drawing sets

• Experience with construction administration, including RFIs and submittal review

• Strong understanding of building systems, interior detailing, and materials

• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high attention to detail

• Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills

• Working proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
