Working closely with project teams and studio leadership, this role supports the full interior design process—from concept development through construction administration—helping create memorable hospitality environments that are thoughtful, functional, and beautifully executed.
A Junior Designer contributes to projects of varying scale and complexity, supporting both individual project workstreams and broader team initiatives. This role is ideal for someone eager to grow their technical expertise, expand their design voice, and develop into a well-rounded hospitality design professional.
Requirements
What You’ll Do
- Support all phases of the design process
- Assist in developing creative, brand-aligned design solutions that elevate guest experience and operational functionalityÂ
- Prepare presentation materials, finish palettes, mood boards, and client-ready design documentationÂ
- Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, vendors, and manufacturers to ensure design intent is accurately executedÂ
- Conduct material research and support sourcing of furnishings, finishes, fixtures, and accessoriesÂ
- Participate in site visits, field verification, and installation support as neededÂ
- Perform quality control reviews on drawings, specifications, and deliverables to ensure accuracy and design excellenceÂ
- Manage assigned project tasks independently while meeting deadlines, budgets, and team expectationsÂ
- Continuously grow technical knowledge, industry awareness, and understanding of hospitality design trendsÂ
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture from a CIDA-accredited or NAAB-accredited program preferred
Experience
1–3 years of professional interior design experience, preferably within hospitality

- Ability to support material selection, finish research, and specification writing (SPEXX experience a plus)Â
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (current release preferred)Â
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign and PhotoshopÂ
- Proficiency in SketchUp and rendering / visualization tools Â
- Strong understanding of design principles, color theory, materials, and spatial compositionÂ
- Commitment to accuracy through self-review and quality controlÂ
