Maintenance Technician, Days, Baptist Health South
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing corrective and preventive maintenance to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of Baptist Primary Care facilities. This position completes both scheduled and non-scheduled work orders and performs a wide range of interior and exterior building maintenance and repairs.
The Maintenance Technician supports Baptist Primary Care offices and multi-tenant buildings by identifying maintenance needs, troubleshooting issues, and completing necessary repairs. Responsibilities may include general building maintenance, minor electrical and plumbing repairs, carpentry, painting, equipment repairs, and other facility-related maintenance activities.
This role requires a hands-on maintenance professional who can work independently, prioritize service requests, respond to facility needs, and help ensure Baptist Primary Care locations remain safe, functional, and well maintained for patients, visitors, and team members.
As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for:
- Performs corrective and preventive maintenance through the completion of scheduled and non-scheduled work orders
- Performs general interior and exterior building maintenance and repairs at Baptist Primary Care offices and Baptist Primary Care multi-tenant buildings
- Troubleshoots and repairs general building, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
- Performs routine inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and correct potential facility issues
- Maintains and repairs building equipment, fixtures, doors, hardware, walls, ceilings, and other facility components
- Performs general maintenance including painting, drywall repair, minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work as needed
- Responds to facility maintenance requests and completes repairs in a timely and professional manner
- Performs detailed repair work as assigned and other related maintenance duties as needed
Experience:
- 2+ years of general building or facilities maintenance experience preferred
- Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance
- Experience troubleshooting and completing general building repairs
- Basic experience with electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Experience with painting, drywall, carpentry, doors, hardware, and general facility repairs preferred
- Ability to independently identify maintenance issues and determine appropriate repairs
- Experience working from scheduled and non-scheduled work orders preferred
Education/CertificationsÂ
- High School Diploma
- Degree Preferred:
- Associate of Arts/Science
