Job OverviewÂ
Join our team in "Doing the Most Good" as a Maintenance Worker at our Adult Rehabilitation Center. We're seeking a skilled and reliable maintenance worker to provide support for our facility, grounds, and other properties. This role is essential in maintaining our facilities and ensuring a safe, functional environment for our staff and beneficiaries.Â

Pay Rate:Â $19.00 -$20.00
Status: Full Time, 40 Hours per WeekÂ

Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
General MaintenanceÂ
- Perform basic repairs and maintenance in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systemsÂ
- Maintain floor surfaces throughout facilitiesÂ
- Assist with setup and teardown of rooms, store fixtures, furniture, and displaysÂ
- Accompany vendors to various locations as neededÂ
- Drive vehicles to obtain supplies and make deliveriesÂ
Grounds MaintenanceÂ
- Perform landscaping duties including mowing and general upkeepÂ
- Handle snow removal at ARC managed propertiesÂ
- Maintain exterior areas for safety and appearanceÂ
- Assist with seasonal maintenance needsÂ
Property SupportÂ
- Help with moving furniture and boxesÂ
- Support facility operations across multiple locationsÂ
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working orderÂ
- Travel to various Salvation Army properties as neededÂ

QualificationsÂ
Education & ExperienceÂ
- High school diploma or equivalentÂ
- Minimum one year of related maintenance experienceÂ
- Must obtain/maintain a clear MVR record for driving Salvation Army vehiclesÂ
Skills & AbilitiesÂ
- Basic painting and electrical skillsÂ
- Proficient with small hand toolsÂ
- Experience with equipment operation (lawnmowers, snow blowers, carpet cleaning equipment, buffers)Â
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectivelyÂ
- Strong attention to detailÂ
Required CertificationsÂ
- Valid driver's licenseÂ
- Ability to pass MVR checkÂ
Physical RequirementsÂ
- Regularly required to stand, use hands, handle, feel, hear, and talkÂ
- Frequently required to walk and reach with hands and armsÂ
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouchÂ
- Must regularly lift/move up to 50 poundsÂ
- Occasionally lift/move up to 100 poundsÂ
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and focus adjustmentÂ
