Position Overview
This position embraces ambition and innovation to serve the Core Spaces development and operating funds. The Fund Accounting & Reporting Manager is responsible for the preparation and review of fund investment financials, month-end close, monthly and quarterly variance analysis, fair value accounting, and income allocations, performance reporting, and fund level budget and forecasting. In addition, this position is involved in the preparation of the annual audit reports, and act as a direct liaison with the fund administrator and other related parties. This role supports a multi‑fund platform with complex structures, including Open‑End, Closed‑End, SMA, JV, and REIT vehicles.Â
What You Will Do
- Oversee and manage internal fund accounting/operations team and day-to-day relationship with third-party fund administrator Â
- Oversee and manage the funds’ monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement consolidation process for Open-End, Closed, and SMA fundsÂ
- Review capital calls, distributions, and uncalled commitments, including allocations and investor noticesÂ
- Review management fee calculations including fee offsetsÂ
- Calculate and/or review carried interest calculations and asset level waterfallsÂ
- Review partner allocations and capital account statementsÂ
- Manage the onboarding process for new investorsÂ
- Review, support, and/or drive investor reporting, including quarterly letters and investor requestsÂ
- Coordinate release of investor notices and capital statementsÂ
- Ensure timely resolution of investor issues and escalationsÂ
- Review of fund partnership agreements in connection with the initial fund set-up and ongoing operations, including fund governing documents, side letters and agreements to ensure adherenceÂ
- Oversee monthly account analysis and roll forwards to ensure they properly reflect the Funds financial position in accordance with Limited Partnership AgreementsÂ
- Work with the valuations team on quarterly asset fair value review processÂ
- Review/calculate fund-level key performance metrics (i.e., IRRs, TWRs, Track Records, AUM)Â
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of Private Equity and Real Estate fund structures and practical application of fund governing documentsÂ
- Stay abreast of industry standards and best practices while continuously seeking opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate operational risksÂ
- Review and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures, and conclude on technical accounting related issues including coordination with Tax on REIT testing, K‑1 reporting, and investor tax considerations.Â
- Coordinate and lead annual fund audits including drafting report templates and providing PBCs to auditorÂ
- Act as the direct liaison with the fund administratorÂ
- Manage and coach direct reports including training, performance management, and development of standardized processesÂ
- Assist team with ad hoc projects as needed including process automation, system enhancements, and reporting standardization initiativesÂ
- Occasional travel may be necessary Â

Ideally, You'll Have
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; CPA or Masters’ preferredÂ
- 8+ years of experience in a mix of public accounting and real estate industry experienceÂ
- Background in accounting for various types of entities including private equity funds and REITsÂ
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, WordÂ
- Yardi experience is a plusÂ
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skillsÂ
- Ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environmentÂ
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracyÂ
- Advanced Excel skills, including XLOOKUP, Index/match, and performance metric calculations (IRR, TWR MOIC, multiples). Â

- Non-traded REIT or Open End fund experience Â
- Navigating complex fund structures, waterfalls, and carried interest models, including modeling scenarios and validating administrator calculations through development of internal modelsÂ
- Managing complex multi‑entity consolidations, including joint ventures, co‑investment vehicles, and REIT structuresÂ
- Standing up new fund launches, including establishing reporting templates, coordinating with Legal on governing documents, and developing accounting policiesÂ

Pay Range
USD $115,000.00 - USD $160,000.00 /Yr.
Additional Compensation
Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, up to 15% of base salary annually, depending on individual and organizational performance.
