Center Director — Sales, Growth & Team Leadership
Mathnasium of Chicago Ravenswood
Full-time | On-site | $50,000–$55,000 base plus uncapped monthly bonus
Mathnasium of Chicago Ravenswood is looking for a Center Director who can build a business while helping children build confidence in math.
This is not a tutoring position with a few management responsibilities attached. It is a sales, operations, and people-leadership role. You will be responsible for growing enrollment, developing relationships throughout the Ravenswood community, leading a strong team, and creating an experience that keeps families enrolled and referring others.
If you are energized by goals, relationship-based sales, team leadership, and meaningful work with families, this could be an excellent fit.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Driving enrollment and revenue growth. Manage the full enrollment process—from responding to inquiries and conducting consultative conversations to following up consistently and asking for the enrollment.
- Building a strong local pipeline. Develop relationships with schools, teachers, administrators, parent organizations, and community partners that create a steady source of new families.
- Leading and developing your team. Hire, train, schedule, coach, and hold instructors accountable for delivering a consistently excellent student and family experience.
- Strengthening retention and referrals. Build trusted relationships with parents, communicate student progress, address concerns, celebrate successes, and give families reasons to stay and recommend Mathnasium.
- Running an outstanding center. Maintain an organized, welcoming, high-energy environment where students feel known, supported, and excited to return.
- Managing the numbers. Track leads, follow-up activity, enrollments, retention, staffing, and center performance—and take action when results are off track.
What success looks like
- Enrollment and revenue grow consistently.
- Prospective families receive prompt, confident follow-up.
- Parents stay engaged and refer other families.
- Instructors are well trained, accountable, and connected to the center’s goals.
- The center feels warm, energetic, organized, and professional every day.
What we’re looking for
- Demonstrated success in sales, business development, enrollment, membership growth, account management, or retail leadership. Your previous title matters less than the results you produced.
- Experience hiring, training, coaching, or managing a team.
- Confidence conducting consultative sales conversations, following up persistently, and asking for the business.
- A natural relationship builder who is comfortable representing the center with parents, school leaders, and community partners.
- Strong organization, follow-through, judgment, and personal accountability.
- Comfort with elementary and middle-school math. You do not need to be a classroom teacher, but you must be credible discussing math learning with families and staff.
- A four-year degree.
Education in education is a plus, but not required. We place a greater emphasis on proven sales ability, leadership experience, and a track record of driving results.
Schedule
This is a full-time, on-site position with a regular five-day schedule:
- Monday–Thursday afternoons and evenings
- Sundays
- Occasional school nights, fairs, and community events
Our busiest hours are when students and parents are available, so this is not a traditional 9-to-5 position.
Compensation and benefits
- Base salary: $50,000–$55,000
- Uncapped monthly performance bonus tied directly to enrollment and revenue growth
- High-performing directors regularly earn an additional $2,000–$3,000+ per month
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- Paid time off
- 401(k) with employer match
- Structured training, coaching, and ongoing leadership support
Why join us?
You will have meaningful ownership of your center, team, results, and community relationships—with the support of experienced local leadership and Mathnasium’s established educational and operating systems.
Your work will produce visible results: a growing business, a stronger team, loyal families, and students who feel more confident in math.
Ready to build something meaningful—and be rewarded for the results? Apply today.
