The Opportunity
Scale Wine Group is seeking an Independent Sales Consultant (1099) based in the Chicago metropolitan area, with the ability to develop business across key Midwest markets.
This is an opportunity for a self-directed, entrepreneurial sales professional to build the territory, shape the role, and drive meaningful growth. We are looking for someone with a pulse on the Chicago wine market, strong trade relationships, and the motivation to create opportunity.

Who You Are
- A dynamic, credible presence with buyers
- Deep familiarity with Chicago-area on-premise and retail markets
- Comfortable operating independently and managing a book of business
- Confident hosting tastings, distributor meetings, and high-level trade or consumer events
- Passionate about producer-driven wines and thoughtful portfolio building
CMS or WSET certification is preferred but not required — experience, trust, and results matter most.

Territory & Growth Focus
The consultant will focus on developing Scale Wine Group's presence across the Midwest, including Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, and the Dakotas.

Compensation Structure
This role is structured as an independent contractor (retainer + commissions)
