Description

We’re looking for a people-focused Office Manager to lead our accounting and administrative team at Corporate Coverage Company. This full-time, onsite role in Chicago, IL is key to keeping daily operations running smoothly across our family of industrial service companies.


You’ll oversee accounting workflows, ticket processing, and office operations while coaching and supporting your team to ensure accuracy and timely execution. Partner closely with the CFO and plant leadership to maintain high-quality service and efficient processes across multiple operations.


Leadership & Team Management

  • Supervise and lead a team of 6–8 accounting and administrative staff, ensuring accurate and timely completion of daily accounting tasks.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and day-to-day support to team members.
  • Manage team schedules and coordinate staffing needs.
  • Lead regular meetings with the Plant Manager and Senior Leaders to identify process improvements, training needs, and workflow enhancements.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Serve as a working manager by learning and backing up all accounting and office functions: A/P, A/R, scale operations, customer service, and other administrative tasks.
  • Set up new vendor and customer accounts for payments and miscellaneous charges.
  • Oversee monthly customer reporting and ensure timely transmission.
  • Review accounting checklists and ensure work is completed and returned by managers.
  • Maintain accurate data entry, ticket processing, billing accuracy, and proper control of weight scales.

Requirements

  • Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience supervising staff, preferably in an accounting or office operations environment.
  • Strong accounting knowledge and experience working with A/P, A/R, billing, or other transactional accounting tasks 
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of initiative.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; TRUX experience a plus.
  • Experience in solid waste or recycling preferred.
