Role Purpose

The Quality Control Inspector I is responsible for performing routine incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure compliance with approved specifications and quality standards. This role supports production by identifying defects, documenting results, and communicating issues to appropriate personnel.

Scope & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform assigned duties in accordance with documented procedures and work instructions
 • Inspect incoming materials using basic measurement tools and visual inspection methods
 • Conduct in-process inspections to verify product conformance and notify production of discrepancies
 • Perform final inspections to ensure products meet quality standards prior to shipment
 • Use standard measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify dimensions
 • Document inspection results in reports, logs, and quality systems
 • Ensure Traveler Work Orders and inspection documentation are completed accurately
 • Follow production schedules and priorities to support on-time delivery
 • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
 • Identify and report nonconforming materials to supervisors
 • Support continuous improvement initiatives as directed

• Report to Quality Supervisor or Quality Manager if any discrepancy arises and follow procedures according to the Quality System (ISO 9001:2015)
 • Perform other duties as assigned


Work Experience & Skills

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience:

• 0–2 years of quality inspection or manufacturing experience preferred

Skills / Knowledge:

• Basic computer and data entry skills
 • Ability to read basic engineering drawings and work instructions
 • Familiarity with standard measurement tools
 • Understanding of basic quality and safety procedures

Personal Attributes:

• Detail-oriented and quality-focused
 • Reliable and able to follow instructions
 • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
 • Team-oriented with good communication skills

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Work is primarily performed in a manufacturing and laboratory environment
