Job DetailsJob Location: Chicago, IL 60608Salary Range: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 SalarySUMMARY: Quality Improvement Nurse is responsible for ensuring that the healthcare services at Alivio Medical Center adhere to quality standards and protocols. They commonly perform inspections, and other assessments of clinical services to ensure that they meet all relevant requirements. Quality Improvement nurse may also develop new procedures or policies related to clinical services. This might include creating checklists or manuals that help employees follow best practices when providing care. Works collaboratively with Alivio’s leadership to achieve quality goals. Educates all staff of Alivio Medical Center (AMC) on the accreditation process and requirements. Assesses, monitors, and recommends activities and educational opportunities to maintain compliance with accreditation and/or regulatory standards. Works closely with Practice Managers and Clinical Site Directors to help plan and implement compliance activities for preparation for Joint Commission and HRSA site visits. Assists department managers with preparation for (Joint Commission and HRSA) site visits. Facilitates performance improvement and Continuous Quality Improvement activities throughout Alivio Medical Center. Acts as resource person to the administrative team, department managers, and clinical staff. Performs clinical risk management functions. Participate in Leadership Team and other committee meetings, as requested. Works collaboratively with different departments to evaluate patient outcomes and improve clinical metrics. Oversees Employee Health for all staff at AMC. Works with Patient Recall to ensure necessary appointments are scheduled. Works closely with Practice Managers to insure clinical staff competencies are completed annually. Coordinate staff trainings in collaboration with practice managers and site directors.  Other projects as identified with Quality Director and CMO This position requires compliance with all of Alivio’s written standards, including its Standards of Conduct, Joint Commission standards, all policies and procedures and Corporate Compliance requirements. Compliance will be considered as part of the regular performance evaluation.  SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages and supervises staff listed below, including hiring, training, evaluating and managing performance to meet departmental efficiency and performance measures in keeping with the Union Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), Personnel Policies and Procedures and prevailing employment laws as appropriate. Salary Range:  $75-100K based on education and relevant work experience.  QualificationsWORKING CONDITIONS: OSHA Category 1 – Involves exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues.    QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing Licensure: Active IL Registered Professional Nurse License Experience: At least 5 years nursing experience, previous experience in quality or performance improvement desired. Special Training:  Demonstrated Competencies: Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred Knowledge of computer system and ability to accurately input necessary information Knowledge of federally qualified health center rules/regulations Ability to work with diverse populations and knowledge of multi-ethnic cultures
