About Us:

God Restoring Order (GRO) Community is a mental healthcare provider that specializes in trauma recovery services for males of color ages 5 and up. GRO services are grounded in an understanding of the neurological, biological and psychological effects of trauma. GRO services include mental health and wellness, stress management, and community outreach. 


Position Summary: 

The Screen Printing Floater will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of screen-printing tasks in a simulated work environment within Gro Community. This role involves handling machine operations for all devices, assisting with the screen-printing process, and becoming familiar with Photoshop to support production needs. The Screen Printer will contribute to maintaining a structured work environment that reinforces skills learned in Cognitive Behavior Therapy Group Sessions, while also ensuring a safe and supportive space for participants to develop their abilities as they transition into full-time employment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and maintain screen printing equipment.
  • Prepare screens, including coating, burning, and reclaiming.
  • Mix and match inks to achieve desired colors and effects.
  • Print designs on various materials, ensuring precision and quality.
  • Conduct quality control checks to maintain high production standards.
  • Troubleshoot printing issues and make necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Follow safety protocols and proper handling of chemicals and equipment.
  • Collaborate with the design and production teams to meet client expectations and deadlines.

  • Background in graphic design or prepress setup is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Screen Printer in a production environment.
  • Strong understanding of screen printing techniques, materials, and equipment.
  • Ability to mix inks and match colors accurately.
  • Keen eye for detail and ability to spot printing defects.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures in handling inks and chemicals.
  • Familiarity with digital printing and heat press techniques (a plus).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with automatic and manual screen printing machines.
  • Knowledge of artwork separation and screen exposure techniques.
  • Previous experience in a high-volume printing environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
