Job Description

As a Security Officer - Full Time in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support daily operations by screening people, packages, and/or vehicles, monitoring assigned areas, and reporting security-related concerns. This role offers the chance to stay visible, deliver strong customer service, and communicate with professionalism while working with an agile, reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by following site-specific security-related procedures, screening protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen people, personal items, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and established screening requirements.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or restricted items in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations with professionalism, document findings, and communicate with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, dock areas, trailer yards, and perimeter, with duties varying based on site conditions and operational needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
