Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Badge Monitor in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a dynamic healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will work with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity while putting people first each day.

Pay Rate: $22.74 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and faculty by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with site leadership and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report maintenance, access control, and other security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to control access, assist with directions, and support an orderly environment for patients, visitors, and employees.
• Assist with security-related calls for service such as escorts, suspicious activity reports, and policy-related concerns while maintaining professionalism and clear communication in a healthcare and campus setting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
