Job Summary
Plant Accountant will support the operations initiatives & transactions. This role will perform technical, accounting, and administrative activities required in order to ensure effective reporting. Responsibilities will also include monitoring/analyzing inventory, assisting in the month-end close function: prepare & review journal entries, analyze monthly financial statement (P&L, B/S) and reporting metrics.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)

- Ensure invoices are properly matched to Purchase Orders
- Provide auditors with assistance; gather information and documents to perform annual audit.
- Clear understanding of P&L and balance sheet relationship.
- Clear understanding of production workflow, including inventory movement and valuation.
- Ensure the plant's financial control processes and systems comply with company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly analysis of actual results vs. budget/forecast.
- Support month end close process with analysis, consolidation, and reporting.
- Assist with the financial reporting process.
- Monitor working capital for plant (s) and ensure accounts are maintained, for example inventory control and managing payables.
- Assist with year-end physical inventory, monitor inventory accuracy and reasonableness.
- Work closely with the operations team on various projects/initiatives.
- Participate in team/committee meetings to foster efforts at the plant level.
- Assist with financial reporting deliverables to management.
- Problem solving skills to identify problems, gather and analyze information skillfully to resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication to ensure communication is precise, clear, and correctly interpreted by its audience.
- Planning/organizing skills to prioritize work and maximize time efficiently.

- Work on special assignments and projects as needed, including process improvement initiatives.
Other (Non-Essential) Functions

Job Requirements
- Minimum three (3) years of accounting/FP&A experience (preferably in a manufacturing environment).
- Associate Degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited institution.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.);
- Prior JDE experience desired
- Fundamental knowledge of Accounting, Reporting and Analysis.
- Above-average aptitude and ability to interpret spreadsheets
- Clear understanding of P&L and balance sheet relationship.
- Problem solving skills to identify problems, gather and analyze information skillfully to resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Know when to seek assistance, while bringing forth your own ideas for resolution of issues.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication to ensure communication is precise, clear, and correctly interpreted by its audience.

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions
- General office environment, with intensive computer work and extended use of the computer keyboard and mouse.
- This position requires the incumbent to grasp objects utilizing manual dexterity including hand/finger coordination and the utilization of color vision. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- This position requires the incumbent to experience periods of prolonged sitting and to regularly stand, walk, carry, climb, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs., with or without assistance.
