Summary:

The Senior Cloud Engineer is a Senior role within the Enterprise Applications Team that is critical in the support of our client’s application portfolio. This position requires proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Azure Cloud deployment, configuration, third-party integration, implementation, and support. The candidate should be self-driven and self-sufficient and will work closely within other teams within the Strategics Accounts Engineering Group and client contacts to provide high-quality operational and project support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support clients’ existing Microsoft Entra, Intune, Intune Mobile and M365 infrastructure, including configuration and new feature updates.
  • Resolve performance issues and complete root cause resolution.
  • Gather client requirements for configuration, customization and integration and deliver these requirements to the client’s satisfaction.
  • Design, test and implement installation processes for upgrades and new cloud applications.
  • Provide clear and early communication, ensuring that all relevant parties are kept informed of progress, issues, and difficulties.
  • Document standard resolutions so that common issues can be resolved without requiring escalation.
  • Train other staff members as needed.
  • Work with the client’s InfoSec Team on best practices for cloud services.
  • Provide support, guidance and monitoring of infrastructure and equipment related to enterprise applications.
  • Participate in thorough impact analysis of all assigned application and infrastructure activities and understand the impact of work on systems and the business.
  • Ensure applications follow security best practices using established standards such as Center for Internet Security.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 6 years of experience supporting enterprise and business applications.
  • 4 years of cloud infrastructure experience with Azure.
  • 4 years hands on experience with Entra, Intune, Intune Mobile, Conditional Access and M365.
  • Ability to complete root cause analysis on application-related issues.
  • Expert problem-solving skills in multiple operating environments.
  • Strong organizational skills: ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues that involve network infrastructure.
  • Ability to research new or alternative cloud application technologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work with clients on requirements, design and implementation documents.
  • Strong technical documentation skills.
  • Strong Power BI.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting.
  • Strong understanding of the design, deployment and maintenance of Microsoft Entra, Intune and M365 including new cloud subscriptions, conditional access, migration to M365 Universal add-ins from COM/VSTO add-ins.
  • Familiarity with virtual environments and cloud solutions.
  • Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus and Qualys.
