The Senior Director, Technology Business Partner leads the strategic alignment of technology initiatives with business objectives, ensuring seamless integration and effective delivery of IT services. This role involves close collaboration with business units, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, InfoSec, and Operations to meet both business and security requirements. The Senior Director also works with customers and managed service vendors to ensure technology solutions are aligned with business needs and operational excellence.

This specific role is focused on leading technology strategy and delivery for our Medicare Advantage (MA) business, ensuring solutions are scalable, compliant, and aligned to critical MA capabilities. The ideal candidate brings strong MA technology experience, understands the regulatory and operational complexity of the MA ecosystem, and can translate business needs into actionable roadmaps and delivery plans. Additionally, this leader will also bring an AI-first mindset, identifying opportunities to use AI-enabled tools, automation, and modern delivery practices to improve productivity, quality, and speed while ensuring responsible use of AI in a regulated healthcare environment.

  • Oversee IT projects to ensure they meet business requirements, manage resources, budgets, and risks, and ensure timely project delivery.
  • Act as the main link between IT and business units to understand their needs and create IT strategies that support business goals.
  • Manage daily operations of key technology capabilities, maintain system reliability and performance, and optimize resource allocation.
  • Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment, and manage recruitment and performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Required Bachelor's Degree in computer science, business administration, or a related IT or management discipline, or equivalent work experience.

Experience

  • Required 12+ Years experience in IT leadership roles, with significant experience in business partnering or similar roles
  • 5+ years of senior management experience with demonstrated knowledge of strategic planning and experience developing and implementing strategies for achieving business objectives and organizing and managing multiple priorities
  • 5+ years of direct experience delivering Medicare Advantage technology programs, including end-to-end ecosystem build-out spanning enrollment, bid/pricing, encounter data submission, risk adjustment, Stars quality, utilization management, and care/behavioral health management.
  • Experience managing system integrator and BPO/managed service vendor relationships specific to MA implementations (e.g., claims processing, care management platforms, member engagement tools).
  • Demonstrated experience leading technology delivery teams in applying an AI-first approach, including evaluating and adopting AI-enabled tools and practices to accelerate delivery, improve quality, and drive measurable productivity gains across the program.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate, persuade, and make effective presentations to varying audiences internal and external to the organization.
  • Proven experience with effective vendor management.
  • Proven ability to successfully lead a team in all phases of developing products for the healthcare software application and services marketplace, including product management, product development, marketing, sales, and implementation.
  • Proven ability to translate CMS regulatory and Stars/quality requirements into actionable technology roadmaps and delivery plans.
  • Proven ability to assess and champion AI-enabled tools and practices across vendor and delivery teams, balancing productivity gains with responsible AI considerations (e.g., data privacy, governance) in a regulated healthcare environment.
