Support Specialist Dynamics 365 (D365)

Position Summary

The Support Specialist provides functional and operational support for the business and the Dynamics 365 (D365) environment. This role maintains system integrity and data accuracy, supports approved configurations and workflows, and enables users through documentation and training. The Support Specialist serves as a subject matter expert (SME) and partner to business users, supporting system governance, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency. This role also assists with Help Desk activities as needed.



Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Support & Maintenance

路 聽 聽 聽 聽Provide day-to-day functional support for D365 users across departments.

路 聽 聽 聽 聽Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve D365 issues in a timely manner; document findings and outcomes.

路 聽 聽 聽 聽Perform data maintenance and cleanup activities to support accuracy, compliance, and operational continuity.

路 聽 聽 聽 聽Monitor and optimize workflows to improve efficiency and reduce processing errors.

路 聽 聽 聽 聽Maintain page layouts, system configurations, and approved customizations.

路 聽 聽 聽 聽Serve as the primary resource for workflow management, page configuration, and functional best practices within D365.

路 聽 聽 聽 聽Manage user access, security roles, and permissions within the D365 environment.


Help Desk Support (As Needed)

路 聽 聽 聽 聽Provide Help Desk coverage as needed, troubleshooting user-reported issues related to applications, access, and system functionality.

路 聽 聽 聽 聽Resolve incidents and service requests; escalate to appropriate technical teams when required.

路 聽 聽 聽 聽Support end users with basic navigation, access issues, and process questions.

路 聽 聽 聽 聽Coordinate with the IT Help Desk team to ensure timely resolution of issues impacting D365 and related systems.


Process Improvement & Documentation

路 聽 聽 聽 聽Develop, maintain, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for D365 processes.

路 聽 聽 聽 聽Document system changes, incidents, and enhancements, including business impact and resolution steps.

路 聽 聽 聽 聽Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and system optimization.

路 聽 聽 聽 聽Communicate system changes and enhancements clearly and consistently to stakeholders.


Training & Subject Matter Expertise

路 聽 聽 聽 聽Deliver end-user training and develop training materials, job aids, and reference documentation.

路 聽 聽 聽 聽Support onboarding of new users in the D365 environment.

路 聽 聽 聽 聽Help build and support a network of functional SMEs across business functions.

路 聽 聽 聽 聽Act as a liaison between business users, technical teams, and external partners as needed.



Qualifications

路 聽 聽 聽 聽2-5 years of ERP experience; Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations experience preferred.

路 聽 聽 聽 聽Experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations, Business Central, or related modules).

路 聽 聽 聽 聽Experience providing Help Desk or end-user application support in a business environment.

路 聽 聽 聽 聽Working knowledge of D365 workflows, security roles, licensing concepts, and system configuration.

路 聽 聽 聽 聽Experience with data cleanup, ERP business processes, and master data governance.

路 聽 聽 聽 聽Ability to create, update, and maintain SOPs and user documentation.

路 聽 聽 聽 聽Strong communication, training, and user support skills.

路 聽 聽 聽 聽Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.



Preferred Skills

路 聽 聽 聽 聽Experience with D365 customization and page/layout configuration.

路 聽 聽 聽 聽Knowledge of access controls, compliance standards, and segregation of duties.

路 聽 聽 聽 聽Background in ERP support, business systems administration, or application support.

路 聽 聽 聽 聽Experience developing training programs and end-user documentation.


WORK ENVIROMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The work environment for this role is typically an office setting, with most tasks performed at a desk using a computer. Daily responsibilities involve extended periods of sitting, frequent use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse for data entry, analysis, and report generation.
