Job Summary:

Independence Pet Holdings (IPH) is undertaking a multi-year enterprise transformation to modernize its insurance technology ecosystem and build a scalable, digital-first operating model across its MGAs.
The Sr. Technology Program Manager, Global Transformation will lead the coordinated delivery of this initiative, overseeing modernization across policy administration, rating, billing, claims management, underwriting workflows, and customer experience — including the implementation of EIS (Enterprise Insurance Suite) and other core insurance platforms.

This role requires significant experience leading large-scale transformation programs within the insurance sector or similarly complex, regulated environments. The Program Manager will operate in a global, matrixed structure, directing project managers and orchestrating multiple system integrators, third-party vendors, and cross-functional technology and business teams to deliver transformation outcomes on scope, schedule, and budget.

The successful candidate will demonstrate fluency in Scaled Agile (SAFe) delivery frameworks, insurance operations, multi-MGA transformation complexity, and vendor coordination. The role partners closely with the JAB Pet Services team in the UK and Europe to ensure alignment on architecture, regulatory considerations, delivery standards, and shared technology capabilities.

This role serves as a senior member of the Technology Program Management Office (TPMO), contributing to governance frameworks, delivery standards, and portfolio execution discipline.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead coordinated program delivery for IPH’s global insurance transformation, guiding execution across MGAs, system integrators, and business and technology teams.

  • Direct a portfolio of project managers delivering modernization of policy administration, product configuration, billing, rating, claims, underwriting, and digital customer journeys.

  • Partner with global System Integrators (SI) to define delivery scope, dependencies, performance metrics, and integration across insurance value streams.

  • Apply Scaled Agile (SAFe) principles to structure ARTs, coordinate planning, manage dependencies, and drive iterative delivery across distributed teams.

  • Oversee the integrated transformation roadmap across applications, integrations, data, security, infrastructure, and customer-facing channels.

  • Ensure transformation delivery aligns with insurance operating models, including regulatory constraints, MGA workflows, rating constructs, and claims processing models.

  • Oversee vendor SOWs, contractual compliance, financials, and delivery quality with Capgemini, Hexaware, Microsoft, and other partners.

  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, Data, and Platform teams to ensure end-to-end insurance solution integrity.

  • Drive program-level risk, issue, and change management with strong controls and timely escalation.

  • Build and maintain executive dashboards, OKRs, and KPIs for leadership reporting across business and technology governance bodies.

  • Contribute to maturing PMO governance, frameworks, templates, and intake processes that support consistent delivery across IPH and JAB partner organizations.

  • Coordinate with JAB Pet Services peers in the UK and Europe to align technology roadmaps, delivery governance, and shared best practices.

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of technology program management experience, including 5+ years leading large insurance or financial services transformation programs.

  • Demonstrated leadership managing major global system integrators (e.g., Capgemini, PwC, Microsoft, etc.), with accountability for delivery outcomes, contractual compliance, and cross-partner integration.

  • Deep understanding of insurance value streams, including quote & bind, policy lifecycle, billing & payments, rating engines, underwriting, claims adjudication, and agent/customer servicing.

  • Demonstrated success managing multi-vendor, multi-MGA, global delivery programs with budgets exceeding $20M.

  • Strong experience with core insurance platform implementations (EIS, Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, Socotra, or similar).

  • Proficiency in Scaled Agile (SAFe) with experience coordinating across ARTs, trains, or large solution constructs.

  • Expertise in technology delivery governance, cross-functional dependency management, and enterprise program planning.

  • Strong business and technical acumen, with the ability to align complex insurance workflows with technology solutions.

  • Strong financial and contractual oversight skills for major SOW-driven vendor ecosystems.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Experience operating across global, matrixed environments.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAFe, PMP, or PgMP certification.

  • Direct experience implementing EIS or other core insurance platforms within an MGA or multi-brand environment.

  • Experience establishing or maturing a global TPMO or transformation office.
