Role Overview
The Therapist provides trauma-informed, community-based mental health services to individuals and families through assessment, therapeutic intervention, care coordination, and group facilitation while maintaining accurate clinical documentation, meeting productivity and billing requirements, collaborating with stakeholders, and engaging in ongoing professional development to support client and organizational success.
Job Responsibilities
- Effectively engage individuals and families in the therapeutic process and complete mental health assessments utilizing a systems framework and trauma-informed approach among other modalities. Meet with clients at a CCAC site, in the community, or provides services via telehealth.
- Work independently and consistently exercises discretion and sound judgment in providing community mental health services to individuals and families. Meet programmatic benchmarks for productivity.
- Properly record all insurance billing for client services, verify documents, and submit information according to program protocol and CCAC policy. Responsible for thorough, timely, and accurately-written documentation for the client file. Record information in prescribed data systems. Complete statistical information in a timely manner. In addition to individual and family services, may provide group therapy, lead support groups, conduct psychosocial educational groups, and deliver presentations to community groups or consultations to schools and secondary settings. May provide recommendations and testimony for court (specifically when working with DCFS-involved clients).
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders as needed.
- Engage in ongoing learning, training, and skill development, seeking and applying feedback to continuously improve performance and contribute to team and organizational success.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Minimum
- Bachelor's degree in a related field of study 1-3 years relevant experience
Preferred
- Master's degree in a related field of study 3-5 years relevant experience
