Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Paralegal to support attorneys in all aspects of estate administration, probate proceedings, trust administration, and related fiduciary matters. The ideal candidate will have strong probate experience, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced legal environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and professionalism and understanding of corporate and real estate as it pertains to estate planning clients.
Experience that makes you a fit:
Probate and Estate Administration
- Assisting attorneys with the administration of probate estates from inception through closing.
- Preparing and filing probate pleadings, petitions, inventories, accountings, notices, receipts, and related court documents.
- Coordinating with probate courts, clerks, fiduciaries, beneficiaries, financial institutions, accountants, and other third parties.
- Monitoring and maintaining probate deadlines and court schedules.
- Gathering, organizing, and analyzing estate asset information.
Trust Administration
- Assisting with the administration of revocable and irrevocable trusts.
- Preparing trust funding and transfer documentation.
- Coordinating distributions to beneficiaries.
- Maintaining trust records and fiduciary accountings.
- Communicating with trustees and beneficiaries regarding administration matters.
General Case Management
- Maintaining case files, calendars, and docketing systems.
- Drafting correspondence and communicate professionally with clients and third parties.
- Conducting legal and factual research as requested.
- Assisting with special projects and other duties related to the Trusts & Estates practice.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Trusts & Estates paralegal experience.
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or Bachelor's degree.
- Significant experience handling probate and estate administration matters.
- Proficiency in preparing probate court filings and related documentation.
- Strong organizational and case management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with state-specific probate procedures and electronic court filing systems.
- Experience with fiduciary accountings and estate tax matters.
- Understanding of corporate and real estate as it pertains to estate planning clients.

Salary and benefits: The annual salary range for this position is $110-000-$120,000.  LP believes this is the pay range it will pay for this position at the time of posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be contingent on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant and the requirements of the position. LP offers generous compensation and benefits packages, including medical, dental and vision benefits, paid parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and eligibility for performance-based bonuses.Â
