Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the shipping and receiving of customer goods which are processed in the plant. Both day and night shift available. Preferably someone with a background in shipping or factory setting; however, this is not a requirement. We need an employee who has basic computer skills that doesn't mind working in a fast-paced factory setting. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Makes sure that exact amount of weight is entered into The Linen Web, as well confirm that the corresponding amount of linen exits our production facility. 
  • Enter weight of soiled linen into Linen Web System (weigh in/out) 
  • Enters clean linen leaving the plant into The Linen Web System 
  • Keeps work area clean at all times (housekeeping/safety) 
  • Provides daily production report on Excel (PPOH) 
  • Checks to make sure that soil vs clean linen does not exceed 15% or more  
  • Audit Bill Of Lading for customers as needed    
  • Communicates any deficiencies with production supervisors in Lbs.  
  • Identifies any problems with the scale or property linen  
  • Audits bins before weighing for correct hotel 
  • Communicates any and all production delays with the Logistics Supervisor  
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested and/or assigned by immediate supervisor or management group. 

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school or equivalent 
  • Detail oriented, good communication skills and able to perform simple math 
  • Follow all company procedures corresponding to the weigh in/out 
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills  
  • Basic computer skills 

 

 

Physical / Mental Requirements:

  • May be at an industrial setting with hot/cold environment and distracting noise levels.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 

 

Safety:

  • Participate fully in company health and safety programs and comply with all company OSHA policies and procedures. 
  • Follow all lawful employer safety and health rules. 
  • Wear and / or use Personal Protective Equipment, when and how instructed. 
  • Report hazardous conditions to management. 
  • Report any job-related injury or illness to management and seek treatment promptly. 
  • Other duties as requested.
