We are seeking a hands-on HR Generalist to support our Chicago-based operations. This in-person role partners closely with employees and leaders to provide day-to-day HR support, with a focus on employee relations, benefits, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary HR contact for employees and managers
- Process and maintain leave of absence administration
- Handle employee relations matters, including investigations and performance support
- Support benefits administration and respond to employee benefit questions
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
- Support onboarding, employee communications, and engagement initiatives

Qualifications:
- 3+ years of HR Generalist experience
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, benefits, and HR compliance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- HRIS and ATS experience required (Workday a plus)
- Union experience preferred, not required

- In-person role based in Chicago, IL, monthly travel to Batavia, IL
