In our multidisciplinary, team-based environment, collaboration is key among a talented group of architects, engineers, interior designers, and project managers, who work together to create innovative and integrated solutions for a wide range of clients.

We are seeking passionate interns who possess excellent design, graphics, organizational and communication skills, which will enable them to interact within a multidisciplinary team of architectural/engineering/interior design professionals. Successful interns will possess the creativity, curiosity, motivation, and skills necessary to create conceptual models and advance design ideas with a team. The internship will be held over the summer and will span 6–8 weeks.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design process, 3D development, selecting and ordering finishes, aid in organizing and preparing for meetings, incorporating designs into Revit, and help produce presentation materials.
  • Conduct basic interpretations of sketches, drawings, codes, program, and other similar material.
  • Support project team in development of interior design documentation and presentation materials.
  • Assist in the development of a design through sketches, physical models, electronic models, diagrams, massing studies, and other visual formats to continue to project space planning, lighting, material selection, and furniture design.
  • Utilize BIM technologies in development of three-dimensional models of interiors and their components to develop construction documents.
  • Assist in research of concepts, benchmarks, materials, typology, and precedents.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.

Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).

Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
