Harbor Capital Advisors, Inc. is offering a paid, full-time 10-week Summer Internship within its Distribution team. At Harbor, Distribution is responsible for bringing investment strategies to market through sales, marketing, client engagement, and data-driven market insights.

This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience supporting core Distribution functions, including sales enablement, prospecting and territory analytics, marketing collaboration, and client and market insights. Interns will gain exposure to how an investment manager partners across teams to support advisors, platforms, and clients.
The program combines structured onboarding, mentorship, exposure to senior leaders, and ownership of a meaningful summer project aligned to Distribution priorities. Interns will leave with a strong understanding of Harbor’s business model and practical experience contributing to real team outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Own and deliver one meaningful, scoped summer project aligned to Distribution priorities across sales, marketing, enablement, or market insights
Support sales and client engagement efforts through prospecting analysis, territory insights, and market or client research
Partner with Marketing and other teams on sales enablement materials, content, and competitive insights
Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Investments, and Operations to understand how Distribution brings Harbor’s strategies to market
Present project progress at mid-summer check-ins and deliver a final capstone presentation to Distribution leadership
Participate in networking sessions, senior leader talks, and team meetings
Support additional Distribution initiatives and ad-hoc projects as needed
Minimum Qualifications
Full-time undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Analytics, Economics, or a related field
Strong academic performance with an interest in Sales, Distribution, Asset Management, or Financial Services
Ability to work full-time for the full 10-week program (June–August)
Willingness to meet Harbor’s in-office attendance requirements
Knowledge Skills & Abilities Required

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; comfort learning new systems
Clear written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting to groups
Ability to manage deadlines and work independently while collaborating with a team
High level of professionalism, integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
Curiosity, initiative, and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment
Time Commitment
Must be flexible and available to work 40 hours a week (M-F), following a hybrid work model. Monday and Friday working from home with Tuesday – Thursday being in the office.
Compensation: $20 - $25 per hour
