About the Role:
Assisting Hands of Chicago North is looking for a compassionate and experienced Caregiver to join our dedicated team in Chicago, IL. Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene support
- Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and errands to maintain a safe home environment
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients and their families
- Monitor and report changes in client health, behavior, or condition to supervisors
- Assist with medication reminders and follow individualized care plans
Requirements:
- Minimum 1-2 years of professional caregiving, home health aide, or CNA experience
- Genuine compassion, patience, and reliability when working with elderly or disabled clients
- Ability to assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal care
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow detailed care plans
- Valid ID and ability to pass a background check
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Reliable transportation and ability to commute to client homes in the Chicago North area
