Dearborn St. & 333 N LaSalle St., Chicago, IL 60601    POSITION SUMMARY:  The Guest Services Associate is an integral part of the Goodman’s front-of-house department at both the 170 N. Dearborn location as well as at the Theater of the Mind venue, located at 333 North Randolph. This position is responsible for operating the information desk at 170 N. Dearborn and providing customer service to all patrons and visitors at both locations. The Guest Services Associate greets and proactively anticipates the needs of guests and offers thoughtful solutions. This is a part-time position that requires regular evening and weekend hours.    RESPONSIBILITIES:  Welcome all guests in a professional, friendly and engaging manner  Identify and anticipate guest needs   Remain knowledgeable of all Goodman accessibility offerings.   Answer guest inquiries about Goodman services, facilities, box office, and surrounding area   Accurately log and deliver packages, mail, and messages   Follow all security and safety policies and procedures   Have knowledge of emergency procedures and assist as needed   Complete the opening & closing procedures of the facility   Perform other duties as assigned     QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:   Customer service-related experience in a high-volume setting preferred. Hospitality experience a plus   Must possess sophisticated verbal and communication skills   Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications   Highly responsible and reliable   Ability to work in a fast-paced environment   Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities   Ability to work stationary and active shifts depending on the type of shift (performance/non-performance)   Ability to submit shift availability for at least three shifts per week (with at least one of those falling on a Saturday or Sunday performance)   Ability to work with a flexible schedule (mix of day and evening shifts)   Capable of moving deliveries of up to 50 lbs.   Model Behavior and values consistent with The Goodman’s Community Agreements and furthering The Goodman’s IDEAA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Anti-Racism and Access) goals.  BACKGROUND:  Chicago’s theater since 1925, The Goodman is a not-for-profit arts and community organization in the heart of the Loop, distinguished by the excellence and scope of its artistic programming and community engagement.
