Position Summary

Lakeshore Sport & Fitness dependable, skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. Lakeshore Sport & Fitness is a 160,000+ square foot facility that operates every day of the year. This position is ideal for an experienced professional who takes pride in maintaining safe, functional, and well-maintained facilities while providing excellent support to coworkers and the community. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with managers and fellow team members.

Responsibilities

Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform general carpentry repairs and facility improvements.
  • Complete plumbing preventative maintenance and minor plumbing repairs.
  • HVAC diagnosis and repair is a plus.
  • Prepare facilities for community events, including room setup, equipment arrangement, and post-event breakdown.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and address issues proactively.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritize work effectively.
  • Communicate project status, maintenance concerns, and repair needs with supervisors and team members.
  • Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to ensure facilities remain safe, operational, and welcoming.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on repair and maintenance experience working on a facilities or building maintenance team.
  • Demonstrated experience with HVAC diagnosis and repair.
  • Working knowledge of carpentry and plumbing preventative maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to keep managers and coworkers informed of project status and maintenance needs.
