The following is a list of specific duties which are considered the essential functions of this job. The list is not exhaustive, as all positions at Mauser are dynamic. The employee who occupies this position is expected to assume any / all duties assigned by management irrespective of whether such duties are specifically included in this list:Â
- Drive and operate forklifts to move materials throughout designated locations.Â
- Coordinate with departments to position materials in necessary areas.Â
- Move materials from and to materials center and shipping warehouse.Â
- Stack/unstack materials for storage and shipping.Â
- Present and remove materials from work areas.Â
- Serving trailers to provide materials for shipping and processing.Â
- Load and unload truck trailers.Â
- Place items onto the forklift.Â
- Ensure material is stored based on current and future needsÂ
- Works in a warehouse, at a construction site, or in a retail environment.Â
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting if it is not working properly.Â
- Have sending and receiving duties on the loading dock.Â
Additional Responsibilities:Â
- Marking and scanning materials for inventory control.Â
- Communicate with forklift drivers and workers to adjust movements.Â
Job Scope:Â
- Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.Â
- Works on assignments that are semi routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.Â
- Competent in tasks that are beyond entry level.Â
- Usually, the forklift driver will be assigned tasks for the day and then will perform these tasks independently.Â
Education and Experience Requirements:Â
- Requires high school diploma or equivalent.Â

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Â
- Familiar with the workings of a forkliftÂ
- Understands the logistics of the facility being worked in and to place items in the proper area.Â
- Communication skills are still essential in order to help the workflow and to maintain safety.Â
- Valid driver’s license is required.Â
- Job hours vary widely and may require the forklift driver to work late-night or early-morning shifts.Â
- Preferred: certified forklift driverÂ

 The payrate is $22.64/hour. The exact salary offered will depend on the selected candidate's experience, work location, skills, etc.
