Job Purpose:

Our Receiving and Warehouse Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of materials and products within the warehouse. This position ensures inventory accuracy, maintains organized warehouse operations, and supports production and customer requirements by adhering to company safety, quality, and operational standards.

Job Responsibilities:

● Receive incoming shipments, inspect and verify quantities and condition of materials against packing slips and purchase orders, and accurately record and process receipts using warehouse management systems and inventory tracking tools.
● Stock materials in designated warehouse locations. Identify, label, and properly store inventory according to established procedures and support production operations by supplying materials as required.
● Pick, stage, package, and prepare materials and finished goods for internal use or customer shipment.
● Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
● Perform inventory transactions, cycle counts, and physical inventories to maintain inventory accuracy.
● Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and compliance with safety standards.
● Assist with shipping activities including preparing documentation, packaging, and carrier coordination.
● Follow all company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and accuracy.

Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:

● Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and receiving procedures, including the ability to read and interpret packing slips, shipping documents, and inventory records

● Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

● Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and inventory management systems, with effective written and verbal communication skills

● Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a high level of productivity and professionalism.

Work Experience:

● 1-3 years of related job experience.● Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.● Strong problem-solving and attention to detail skills are required.

Education:

● High School Diploma/GED Preferred

Working Conditions:
The work environment for this position requires:
● Regularly working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse where exposure to cold, heat, damp or humid conditions may occur.
● Exposure to loud noise.
● Exposure to dust, mechanical hazards, moving objects, and moving vehicles.

Physical Requirements:
The physical requirements listed below are representative of those needed to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.Β 
● Ability to lift, twist and carry up 50 - 75 pounds, manipulate (push and pull) up to 160 pounds of product with material handling equipment and skids weighing up to 2,000 pounds utilizing pallet jack.
● Walking/Standing - walk throughout the warehouse to complete customer orders. Stand when operating order picker or reach truck equipment and when operating cutter.
● Sitting - sit only when driving sit-down material handling equipment. Β 
● Lifting - lift items weighing a few ounces up to 150 pounds with assistance .
● Stooping - performed when filling orders or putting away products assigned to floor level locations. May bend at the waist.
● Kneeling - Β kneel when filling orders or putting away products assigned to floor level locations.
