SUMMARY

Provides transportation for Red Rock clients, drive courier runs, and assists in daily maintenance of program vehicles as requested.

ESSENTIAL FUCNTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Transports other items to various locations weekly via internal courier program
  • Drives van and/or bus to transport clients to and from Red Rock or other locations as required
  • Performs routine safety inspection and maintenance checks on agency vehicles
  • Coordinates van schedules with staff members as required
  • Maintains core competencies in relation to working with co-occurring disorders through continuing education and implementing skills into all aspects of treatment
  • Keeps mileage logs and other reports as required, including maintenance logs
  • Assists staff with client activities as required
  • Attends staff meetings, workshops, and seminars to learn agency policy rules, regulations, and procedures; participates in ongoing in-service training, external training and driving training as required
  • Performs other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Six months experience
  • Valid OK Driver’s License, Personal Auto Insurance, Clean Motor Vehicle Record and Clean Drug Test
  • Special knowledge/skills; (special licenses, training). Commercial Driver’s License with “P” endorsement, if required to drive vehicles rated 16 and above Ability to communicate effectively and relate to client population and maintain confidentiality
  • Knowledge of proper maintenance of vehicles
  • Commitment to the mission of Red Rock BHS
  • One year related experience preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have the ability to stand or sit for long periods of time
  • Must have the ability to lift, push, or pull a minimum of 25 pounds
  • Ability to travel approximately 90% of the time
  • Ability to use telephone, PC, fax machine, copy machine, and printer
  • Potential lifting of passengers in case of emergency
