Job DetailsJob Location: North Chico Medical - Chico, CA 95973Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $27.56 - $37.20 HourlyFull Time - 30406 Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) General Purpose: The Certified Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to healthcare providers as part of the care team, helping ensure quality patient care and efficient clinic operations. Key Responsibilities Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain/document vital signs, height, and weight. Schedule referrals and maintain referral tracking in the EHR. Collect and process laboratory specimens according to established protocols. Assist providers with patient care, including medications, immunizations, injections, diagnostic orders, and routine prescription refills as directed. Initiate and update patient Care Plans and Advanced Directives according to PCMH protocols. Provide approved patient education and assist with provider callbacks. Maintain accurate and timely EHR documentation and daily worklists. Follow infection-control procedures and clean, sterilize, and maintain medical equipment. Prepare and stock exam rooms and maintain clinical supplies. Participate in CQI activities, staff meetings, and required training. Maintain patient confidentiality and provide respectful, professional service. Flexibility to work at other Ampla Health locations as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program. Current Medical Assistant certification required. Current CPR certification required. Primary care/outpatient clinic experience preferred. Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team. Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient health information. Knowledge of clinic policies, procedures, EHR systems, and PCMH protocols preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and push up to 100 pounds on wheels. Ability to remain on feet for the majority of the workday. Ability to bend, squat, kneel, reach, stoop, twist, and turn. Adequate vision, hearing, and manual dexterity to perform clinical duties. May be exposed to Aerosol Transmitted Diseases (ATD) and Blood Borne Pathogens (BBP). Qualifications
