POSITION SUMMARY:  
The Epic Application Analyst I is responsible for supporting the configuration, testing, and implementation of Epic modules under the guidance of senior analysts. This role is ideal for early-career professionals with foundational Epic knowledge and a desire to grow within a clinical IT environment.  The Application Analyst is responsible for responding to application support requests, managing documentation, collaborating with vendors and team members, and continuing their ongoing growth within healthcare IT.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE: 
Minimum:

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s program or has a Bachelor’s degree in Information Services, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, Life Sciences or business-related field. (staff hired into the Epic Application Analyst role prior to January 2026 are grandfathered in without a degree)

Desired:

  • Internship or project experience with Epic or other EHR systems
  • Exposure to clinical departments or hospital operations

 LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

       Minimum:

  • Epic Certification/Accreditation/Proficiency in at least one module (must be obtained within 6 months of hire) (dept tracks)

Desired:

  • Epic Certification/Accreditation/Proficiency in at least one module upon hire


SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Must have all of the following: basic understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare operations; strong analytical and problem solving skills; effective communication and documentation abilities; and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. The following are preferred skill sets: familiarity with epic tools such as Hyperspace, Chronicles, or Reporting Workbench; basic SQL or data analysis skills; excellent communication and customer service abilities; knowledge of collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Excel and SharePoint; and previous systems/application support and analysis experience in the healthcare industry. Behavior should be reflective of Enloe Health core values.  Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position
