Join HALO Breast Care Center as a Full-Time Patient Access Representative with a Monday-Friday and 8am - 5pm schedule, located at our outpatient imaging center in Chico.  Our ideal candidate is bilingual with at least 1 year of recent medical office experience coordinating with a team of medical professionals.   Summary/Objective The Patient Access Representative greets patients that are arriving for their scheduled appointment. The PAR will collect patient information, scan in insurance cards and driver’s licenses, and verify that all their current information is accurate. Responsibilities: Help patient’s complete registration process Collect share of cost/Co-Pay Schedules patients occasionally and calls to confirm patient appointments Maintain workplace cleanliness and keep lobby clean Complete other tasks as assigned or needed by management Competencies: Detail oriented and good organizational skills Ability to work under stressful situations Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent customer service skills Demonstrated clerical skills and ability to establish professional working relationships with colleagues, patients, and medical professionals Demonstrated ability to work independently within a team framework under minimal supervision       QualificationsQualifications High School diploma or GED equivalent (Associate’s degree in Healthcare Administration is a plus). Minimum of 1 year of recent medical office experience working with a team of medical professionals Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Familiarity with medical and anatomy terminology Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred Great communication skills, as well as the ability to multitask in fast-paced environments. Physical Work Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to sit; use a computer, and occasionally sit for prolonged periods Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the clinic for extended periods. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and staff, both verbally and in writing. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and may occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds.
