Metallurgical Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION/TYPICAL TASK BREAKDOWN:

• Receive client request and document as-received
• Enter work order and work with technicians to complete work
• Create report with appropriate conclusions
• Validate with senior staff

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Providing metallurgical support to multiple clients by performing failure and metallurgical analysis, interacting with metallurgical technicians, updating standard work, and participating on continuous improvement projects.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Years of experience: 0-2 years
• Degree requirement: BS in Metallurgical or Materials Science Engineering from accredited university – ONLY THESE SPECIFC degree’s
• NO 2 year degrees
• Open to Master’s - only the listed degrees

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Failure analysis
• Ferrous metallurgy
• Microscopy
