What You’ll Do
The Registered Sonographer operates complex equipment to produce high quality sonograms. This individual collaborates with the Radiologist, the manager, and the staff in developing, implementing, and evaluating department procedures and protocols. This position has direct patient care, access to confidential patient information and makes decisions independently and in collaboration with the Radiologist, the manager and the staff. This individual works under the indirect supervision of the Radiology Manager.
Minimum QualificationsÂ
- Graduate of an Accredited Program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- RDMS-Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer must achieve credential for physics and one correlating specialty according to ACR accreditation standards within 18 months of hire. De-escalation training within 6 months. BLS-Basic Life Support. 0–1 year experience (new graduates eligible)
- 1-2 years Diagnostic Medical Sonography
