Line Cook / Prep Cook

You’ll support daily food prep and line service with a focus on flavor, consistency, and presentation—helping ensure every dish looks great and tastes even better.

This is a part-time position averaging about 29 hours per week.  Candidates must be available to work morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Essential duties

• Prep ingredients and assist with daily kitchen setup 
• Cook and plate menu items to recipe and quality standards 
• Keep your station clean, organized, and stocked 
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures 
• Work with the team to keep service running smoothly during busy times
• Support the dish area (washing dishes, pots, and pans) during peak service times or when coverage is needed

Requirements

• 2+ years prep or line cook experience preferred (hotel/resort or similar a plus)
• Food handling certification preferred — or good working knowledge of food safety
• Dependable, team-oriented, and able to stay calm under pressure
• Flexible schedule and willingness to work holidays

Physical requirements

• Comfortable working in a hot kitchen (stoves, ovens, grills, fryers)
• Good hand dexterity for chopping, slicing, and using kitchen tools safely
• Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs
• Able to bend, twist, reach overhead and below the knees, and stand for long periods
• May be required to drive a vehicle as part of duties
