The Wellness Center Salon at Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure is seeking a talented and licensed Nail Technician with a passion for beauty and wellness to join our team! Rumbling Bald is a private community specializing in vacation rentals, offering clients a relaxing, resort-style experience. Our salon provides a warm and inviting atmosphere, with a focus on exceptional customer service for our community and local guests.

This part-time position offers up to 8-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed, with hourly pay plus service commission, retail sales commission, tips, flexible scheduling and opportunities for professional growth and continued education. Essential Job Functions:

Conduct effective and well-informed consultations to understand clients’ needs.
Provide consistent, professional nail services including manicure, pedicures, gel services and dip powder application.
Remain current with the latest trends, techniques and products.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation and salon environment.
Collaborate with the salon and front desk team to create a positive and welcoming environment.
Ensure that client expectations are met or exceeded for a positive and memorable experience.

Requirements

High school diploma required.
A minimum of one year of experience as a licensed Nail Technician with a current NC license.
Portfolio (digital or physical) showcasing your nail work.
Experience with OPI dip method preferred.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and contribute to a positive salon culture.
Work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, based on the salon’s operational needs.
Perform other related duties as requested such as laundry, cleaning and organizing products.

Physical Requirements:

To successfully perform the essential duties of this role, the following physical and communication requirements must be met:

Engage in moderate physical activity, handling of average-weight objects, up to 30 pounds, and standing and/or walking up to eight (8) hours per day.
Communicate clearly and professionally with others, including speaking, listening, and understanding instructions.
Read, comprehend, and follow both written and verbal instructions to ensure proper equipment usage and adherence to procedures.
Reach overhead, below the knees, and in various directions, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Utilize hands and fingers effectively to handle or operate objects, equipment, or controls necessary for class instruction and facility maintenance.
Work in an environment that may involve some exposure to fumes, odors, and hazards, requiring adherence to basic safety procedures.
