Operations Coordinator
Pacific Coast Manufacturing (PCM)
Salary Range: $50K - $62K
This is an on-site role based in Chino, CA

Keep the Plant Moving

At Pacific Coast Manufacturing, we combine precision, craftsmanship, and ingenuity to create products built for the outdoors and built to last.

We’re problem-solvers, detail-obsessed builders, and people who take pride in doing great work. What we make ultimately ends up in backyards, where people gather, grill, relax, and make memories. We believe every detail mattersand we celebrate good work.

We’re looking for an Operations Coordinator to take ownership of the day-to-day processes that keep our plant running smoothly from parts and consumables ordering to inventory accuracy, shipping and receiving, and general operational support.

This is a hands-on, generalist role at the center of PCM’s plant operations. You’ll be the person who notices what’s running low, catches when inventory doesn’t match reality, and makes sure what moves through the plant is accurately reflected in our systems.

You’ll work closely with plant leadership and the floor team to keep things organized, accurate, and moving. Just as importantly, you’ll help turn reactive processes into simple, reliable systems that prevent problems before they affect production.

What You'll Do

Parts & Consumables Management

  • Own ordering and stock levels for plant hardware and consumables, including fasteners, hinges, PPE, and other small-parts inventory.
  • Establish and maintain practical reorder points and inventory buffers to prevent production delays.
  • Monitor usage and availability to identify potential shortages before they become problems.

Inventory Accuracy & Cycle Counts

  • Own a weekly rotating cycle-count program across WIP, finished goods, and raw-material areas.
  • Reconcile physical counts and document discrepancies.
  • Identify and escalate issues such as mislabeled parts, quantity mismatches, missing scrap, or remake entries.
  • Help build a consistent, reliable inventory process rather than relying on an annual physical count to uncover problems.

Shipping & Receiving Accuracy

  • Ensure outbound shipments including customer orders, warranty replacements, and dealer shipments are accurately processed and closed.
  • Confirm inbound receipts are entered promptly and accurately, including verifying quantities against purchase orders.
  • Partner with the warehouse team to ensure physical material movement matches what's recorded in the system.
  • Catch missed or delayed transactions before they become larger inventory issues.

General Operations Support

  • Provide day-to-day operational support to plant leadership and the floor team.
  • Identify recurring gaps, bottlenecks, and process issues and recommend practical solutions
  • Take ownership of the details that keep the plant organized, accurate, and moving.

Why Join Us?

Own meaningful work: You’ll build and improve processes, not just follow them.

See the whole operation: Gain hands-on exposure to procurement, inventory, shipping and receiving, and plant operations.

Work closely with leadership: Your work will have a direct and visible impact on the plant.

Build something better: Help turn processes that are currently reactive into systems that are reliable and sustainable.

What We're Looking For:

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams.
  • Proactive—youspot potential problems before they become production issues.
  • Comfortable counting, verifying, reconciling, and double-checking details.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing and plant-floor environment.
  • Clear communicator who can work effectively with vendors, warehouse staff, and plant leadership.
  • Practical, hands-on problem solver who enjoys making processes work better.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in plant operations, inventory/cycle counting, shippingand receiving, materials coordination, or a similar manufacturing support role.
  • Experience with an ERP or inventory management system is a plus; Fishbowl experience is helpful but not required.
  • Proficiencywith Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training is a plus.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Regular walking of the production floor toobserveequipment, verify stock levels, and conduct cycle counts.
  • Sitting and standing for extended periods across office and floor settings.
  • Occasional lifting of parts, hardware, or inventory stock (up to approximately 25lbs).
  • Computer use, with or without adaptive software.

If you’re someone who notices the details, solves problems before they become bigger problems, and takes pride in keeping things running right, come build with us.
